Description

Finkbine Golf Course is an 18-hole public golf course, home to the University of Iowa’s Men’s and Women’s Collegiate Golf teams, that spreads over 200 acres of rolling Iowa terrain. Finkbine features Bentgrass greens, tees, and tree-lined fairways, 62 well-manicured sand traps and a signature hole (the par-3, 13th) that offers a double green with a tee shot over the lone water feature on the course. Stand alone putting and chipping greens compliment the large driving range to help golfers work on their game.

Finkbine has been the home to numerous Hawkeye Invitational college tournaments. In the late 1960s through early 1990s Finkbine hosted the Amana VIP Classic and then the Hogan/Nike Tour. In recent years, Finkbine has hosted the Iowa Golf Association State Men's and Women's Amateurs, US Junior and US Amateur qualifying.

In 2020 Finkbine opened the Nagle Family Clubhouse, which offers an expansive golf shop, full restaurant and bar. Finkbine Golf Course is owned by the University of Iowa’s Athletic Department and is named after W.O. Finkbine, who donated the land to the University of Iowa. Finkbine Golf Course is managed by Troon Golf.

Outing Information

FINKBINE will provide you with the best outing experience possible. We can help with any aspect of your tournament planning including suggestions for prizes, contests, and formats. On the day of the event, you and your guests will arrive to Finkbine to find everything ready for your outing. All you need to do is bring the players and we will do the rest. Bag drop provided for the players when they arrive; all carts staged with personalized cart signs and scorecards on them; skirted registration tables will be available at the location of your choice; and hole-prize markers are placed on the course. All these amenities are FREE of charge for shotgun events. Include warm-up balls on the Driving Range at your event for an additional $150 (or golfers can pay individually, as desired).

NAGLE FAMILY CLUBHOUSE & BUMP'S RESTAURANT offers a variety of food options, from full meals to casual lunches. Just let us know what type of food option you are looking for and we can provide choices and pricing accordingly! A full line of beverages is available, including beverage cart services. For your pre- or post-tournament gathering, our beautiful new Nagle Family Clubhouse is available to cater to your food & beverage needs! Bump's Restaurant space is included with golf outings for no more than 3 hours following the end of the golf
round.
